Whitney Johnson

Author Whitney Johnson's research and work in disruptive innovation explores how individuals and corporations manage change.

After publishing the book, “Disrupt Yourself,” Whitney was recognized as one of the world's most influential management thinkers by Thinkers50 in 2017 and 2015.

“Finding a way to play where others aren’t,” is among the keys to innovative disruption, Johnson tells the CUNA News Podcast.

Through her work at Harvard Business School, Johnson has learned that those who are willing to go outside their comfort zone are more likely to be creative and innovative. “People who are able to be innovative are willing to play where no one else is playing,” she says.

Johnson is a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, and a Linkedin Influencer.

Her new book, "Build an 'A'-Team: Play To Their Strengths and Lead Them Up the Learning Curve," builds upon her work and research with teams and disruption.

Johnson is among the keynote speakers at CUNA’s America’s Credit Union Conference (ACUC), taking place June 28-July 1, 2018 in Boston.
