Jared Ihrig

Jared Ihrig is CUNA’s chief compliance officer.

As both a certified public accountant and an attorney, Ihrig approaches his job with a high degree of technical expertise.

But he also brings a wealth of practical know-how, having worked in public accounting, consulting, and with law firms that served credit unions. He also worked for two large credit unions in the Southwest.

Ihrig came to Madison, Wis., in July to teach a session at the CUNA Business Lending Certification School.

He serves as an instructor at several other CUNA schools and conferences as well.

In this episode of the CUNA News Podcast, Ihrig discusses NCUA's examination process as it relates to business lending, including changes to Part 723 of NCUA’s Rules and Regulations, the NCUA online examiners guide, and the overall compliance climate for credit unions.
