CUNA and the Leagues are encouraging credit unions to share stories about how their lending activities have made positive differences in the communities they serve. Stories can be submitted to CUSocialGood.com.
“The good credit unions do each and every day in their communities is why ‘People Helping People’ is the guiding philosophy of our movement,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “By capturing and highlighting these stories, we’re creating a go-to resource that highlights how credit union lending makes incredible differences for members and communities around the country.”
The website features stories sorted by categories, and an “impact map” showing where credit union lending is making a major impact.
Users can go to cusocialgood.com and create an account for their credit union or league. It may take time for the account request to be approved, then users can submit stories, documents, pictures or other graphics.
Story submissions are encouraged by the end of the day Friday, Sept. 28. Questions can be directed to email@example.com.
