CUNA brings on new leadership to help position credit unions for national success

Washington, DC (October 23, 2018) – Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the nation’s largest and most influential trade association advocating on behalf of America’s 110 million credit union members, announced two new staff appointments to help drive credit union success.     

Mitria Wilson joins CUNA as Senior Director of Advocacy and Counsel where she will use work on regulatory advocacy issues for the organization, particularly relating to National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) examination, supervision and housing policy issues. Prior to joining CUNA, Wilson worked as Senior Counsel for the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services. She additionally served as Vice President of Government Affairs and Senior Counsel with the Center for Responsible Lending, and Director of Legislative and Policy Advocacy with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. Wilson holds a bachelors from the University of Alabama and attended the University of Texas School of Law.  

Hannah Truslow has been named Director of Political Fundraising Development for the Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC), the federal PAC of the CUNA. In this new role, Truslow will focus exclusively on growing the trade association's national fundraising base for both CULAC and other corporate political fundraising efforts. In this capacity she will work alongside CUNA League Partners and member credit unions to grow the fundraising capacity of the association’s political programs. Prior to joining CUNA, Truslow was a Personal Fundraising Coach at Network for Good where she drove product development and provided individualized fundraising strategies to over 40 nonprofit clients. Additionally, Truslow has extensive experience fundraising for political organizations and candidates. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire.
