MADISON, Wis., and WASHINGTON (December 6, 2018) – CUNA has announced it will again host the CUNA Fair Lending Workshop in 2019. This follows after a successful 2018 event where attendees learned how fair lending regulations impact their credit unions’ operations.

“The CUNA Fair Lending Workshop provides a comprehensive look into the Fair Lending arena from the loan process to post close & quality assurance/control,” said attendee Justin Bland, compliance officer at First Financial CU. “The topics covered are timely and thought provoking. In summary a great educational and networking event that will add value to your credit union.”

The 2019 CUNA Fair Lending Workshop is scheduled for August 13-14 in Nashville. A pre-conference event, CUNA Mortgage Loan Originator Workshop, will also be held on August 12.

“Fair lending has become a topic of focus for regulators recently,” said Kathy Smith, instructional design manager at CUNA. “The goal of this workshop is to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of these regulations through expert insights and practical application.”
