CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle welcomed a record-breaking class of “crashers” Sunday at CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC).
Crashers are young credit union professionals who attend the CUNA GAC with a complimentary registration sponsored by The Cooperative Trust and Filene Research Institute. The program is made possible with the support of CUNA and help from credit union leagues and associations.
This year’s 100 Crashers are the biggest class to date, marking the 10th year of the program.
“We’re excited to welcome a record-breaking class of Crashers to the GAC, as our young professionals are one of the most important priorities in the credit union movement,” Nussle says. “They are the future of the movement, and there’s no bones about it. They’ll be the board members, the CEOs, the leaders of the credit union movement who will ensure it stays strong and vital. This is a generation that’s going to find new ways to serve communities we’ve never dreamed of.”

Throughout the conference, the Crashers will attend regular sessions in addition to networking and other events.
