This year’s record-breaking CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference kicked off Sunday with orientation sessions, the opening of the largest exhibit hall in financial services and a keynote speech from Alison Levine.
Levine, an author and mountain climber, spoke about what she learned during an expedition to Mount Everest in which she did not reach the summit, and how she learned from that and climbed it years later.
One hundred young credit union professionals are at CUNA GAC for the first time this year, part of a record-breaking class. CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle welcomed them Sunday, telling the Crashers they are the future of the credit union movement.
Monday will be an action-packed day at CUNA GAC, starting off with Nussle’s address, which will be livestreamed on Facebook, starting at 9:30 a.m. (ET).
