Forbes recognizes CML, CPD Online member CUs as ‘Best In State’

August 29, 2019

Credit unions dedicated to serving their communities while also focusing on the professional development should be celebrated.

Each year Forbes surveys U.S. consumers to produce a list of America’s Best Credit Unions in Each State. Partnering with research firm Statista, 2,500 credit union members were polled for their opinions on current and former financial service relationships. Credit unions were scored on overall member recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five subdimensions including trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services and financial advice.

Twelve CUNA Creating Member Loyalty™ (CML) and 14 CUNA Professional Development Online (CPD Online) member credit unions made the 2019 Forbes list.

“We have worked hard to position ourselves among the great financial institutions in the country, always keeping the wellbeing of our membership at heart through our CUNA Creating Member Loyalty™ initiative,” said Chris O’Connor, president and CEO at Randolph-Brooks FCU. “We are honored to be recognized and take great pride in the individuals who make up this wonderful credit union.”

The current CML member credit unions that made the Forbes list include:

  • First Florida CU (FL)
  • HawaiiUSA CU (HI)
  • Credit Union of America (KS)
  • DFCU Financial (MI)
  • Firefly CU (MN)
  • Montana FCU (MT)
  • St. Mary’s Bank CU (NH)
  • Sandia Laboratory FCU (NM)
  • Kemba CU (OH)
  • Randolph-Brooks FCU (TX)
  • Langley FCU (VA)
  • Educators CU (WI)

“CPD Online has been our core LMS for more than 12 years,” said Shalini Smith, senior learning & development specialist at Arizona Central CU. “Due to the unlimited access and the credit union-specific nature of the courses, our staff has gained the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform beyond expectations. We believe this has directly influenced us making the Forbes list of best credit unions in Arizona.”

The current CPD Online credit unions that made the Forbes list include:

  • American Heritage FCU (PA)
  • America’s First FCU (AL)
  • Cedar Point FCU (MD)
  • Central Credit Union of Florida (FL)
  • Day Air CU (OH)
  • DEXSTA FCU (DE)
  • Directions CU (OH)
  • First Florida CU (FL)
  • Greenville FCU (SC)
  • Knoxville TVA Employees CU (TN)
  • Langley FCU (VA)
  • NASA FCU (MD)
  • Robins Financial CU (GA)
  • USF FCU (FL)

“I’m elated to see so many CML and CPD Online user credit unions make the list this year,” said Angela Prestil, vice president of business development at CUNA. “Supporting the growth, recognition and member impact of credit unions are our goals as an organization. These institutions embody our holistic approach to success.”
