CUAC meeting addresses implementation, HMDA

October 29, 2019

CUNA attended last week’s two-day meeting of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC), which consists of representatives from eight CUNA member credit unions. The CUAC advises and consults with the CFPB on consumer financial issues related to credit unions.

The meeting consisted of a look at the CFPB’s regulatory agenda, accessing CFPB guidance available to the public and a discussion on the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.

The two days also included a combined session with the CUAC and the Consumer Advisory Board and Community Bank Advisory Council.

Questions about the CUAC or other CFPB activities can be directed to CUNA Senior Director of Advocacy and Counsel Alexander Monterrubio at amonterrubio@cuna.coop.
