CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) kicked into high gear Monday with a parade of flags, a welcome from CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, and an update from National Credit Union Foundation Executive Director Gigi Hyland.

The general session wrapped up with a keynote address from author and consultant Marcus Buckingham, who shared insights on attracting and retaining top talent.

Ryan Donovan, CUNA’s chief advocacy officer, updated attendees on advocacy efforts during the afternoon general session. Attendees also heard from NCUA board member J. Mark McWatters, Mark Calabria from Federal Housing Finance Agency, and outgoing CUNA Board Chair Brett Martinez.
