Millions of Americans are facing bills due and other costs with their financial severely impacted by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan wrote to all 535 Congressional offices Thursday. The message was part of CUNA’s continuing engagement with Congress highlighting credit union service to members and communities during the pandemic.
“With the start of the month, over 6 million Americans are facing the stress of choosing which bills they should pay without knowing when their next paycheck will be coming,” Donovan wrote. “America’s credit unions will be able to aid your constituents through this distressing crisis because of the swift action taken by you and your colleagues to provide meaningful relief.”
