Credit union leaders can now register for CUNA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) eSchool, happening one hour on Mondays, June 8-29. This new eSchool, is a CUNA membership benefit and free to all CUNA member credit unions. This eSchool will focus on what it means to be committed to creating a workplace culture that supports diversity, equity and inclusion.
Attendees will hear how to create policies and procedures that promote a diverse workplace that can better serve the changing U.S. population and how to champion their organization’s DEI program.
“Diversity is a key competitive advantage for credit unions as American demographics continue to change,” says Samira Salem, senior policy analyst at CUNA. “CUNA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) eSchool will help credit union leaders create an environment that is not only welcoming for diverse employees but members as well.”
You’ll explore topics including holistic discriminatory issues that DEI programs need to address, the business case for DEI, the current legislative landscape surrounding DEI and the importance of employee resource groups.
