CUNA Mutual Group, CUNA’s System Partner, doesn’t stop short when it comes to helping the credit union world.

CUNA Mutual Group has taken steps to assist credit unions, their members and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For credit unions

  • Making COVID-19 RISK Alerts available to all credit unions:
    • Coronavirus Outbreak Requires Precautionary Workplace Measures
    • Increased Coronavirus Leads to Preparing Pandemic Response Plans
    • Coronavirus Opens Doors to Scams
  • Temporary increase on premise limits of $500,000 at no charge for current bond policyholders.
  • Waiving LOANLINER customization fees on new or existing lending documents for the purpose of assisting their members experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19.
  • For loanliner.com, extra workflow available to increase response times for emergency aid loans.
  • CUNA Brokerage Services Inc. advisors have new automation capabilities (unified account opening) to be able to open brokerage accounts, mutual fund accounts (currently limited to American and Franklin Funds), and electronically sign using DocuSign.

For members

  • Extending premium payment flexibility so they can continue to protect their families while they navigate this difficult time. CUNA Mutual Group will not cancel or non-renew any policies for failure to pay premiums due for 90 days for accidental death and dismemberment, life, health credit insurance, debt protection, and guaranteed asset protection products.
  • Mechanical repair coverage, as part of the loan, is extended to a 60-day grace period. CUNA Mutual Group is not charging late fees, and it will continue to pay claims for a covered loss during this period.
  • Liberty Mutual is providing 15% refunds on two months of premium to all personal auto insurance policy holders that purchased a policy through TruStage. In addition, Liberty Mutual is prepared to work closely with any member that needs assistance on deferring auto or homeowner payments to avoid cancellation of the policy.

For the community

  • The CUNA Mutual Group Foundation is providing significant support for education, emergency aid, and economic stability including a special employee match for emergency aid donations to support 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
