Commercial loan considerations during uncertain economic times will be featured as a session in a new eSchool, CUNA Commercial Lending During Turbulent Times, starting on June 4. This eSchool includes three, 90-minute sessions led by credit union business lending expert Dana Sumner, president & CEO at Development Finance Training & Consulting, Inc. Sumner will help attendees understand the complexities of managing portfolio risks in a rapidly changing economy.

"The varied impact that COVID-19 has on different industries and individual business owners only adds to the difficulty of assessing loan risk,” said Kathy Smith, instructional design manager at CUNA. “This three-part eSchool helps lending professionals understand key triggers to mitigate risk during a financial crisis.”

Other sessions include:

  • Dealing with Problem Commercial Loans –  Identification and Actions – June 4, 2020
  • Fragile Commercial Industries – What We Need to Understand — June 23, 2020

This eSchool has been endorsed by the CUNA Lending Council. Learn more and register here. Can’t attend these sessions live? Sign up for recorded eSchool.
