CUNA’s Michlig talks COVID-19 recovery task force

August 3, 2020
COVID

CUNA Chief Engagement Officer Greg Michlig joined CUBroadcast recently to talk CUNA’s Credit Union System COVID-19 Restart and Recovery Task Force.

“The task force is about the credit union system. How we can have a conversation and learn from each other about what’s taking place during this whole pandemic?” Michlig said. “We’re not coming into this in any way thinking about what the outcome should be or what the deliverables should be, it’s really just learning from one another, having a good conversation and trying to determine the best path forward for the credit union system.”

Launched in June, the task force brings together representatives from the three-tiered system of credit unions, Leagues and CUNA, along with system providers and affiliated organizations, to discuss strategies, resources and best practices for credit unions  as state and local governments begin to lift stay home orders and ease safety restrictions on business operations established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the interview, Michlig talks about how the task force represents a strategic restarting process, what the task force’s work will look like and more.
