New MAP campaign focuses on ensuring CU members vote

August 28, 2020
Elections

November’s election is 67 days away and CUNA’s latest Member Activation Program (MAP) Campaign is calling on all credit unions to urge members to vote. Sending members to CreditUnionsVote.com gives them information to register voters, local polling places and find information on all early, absentee and mail-in voting options.

All details are specific to the state and jurisdiction of the member and will be updated with any changes.

“Elections have consequences for credit unions and the members we serve, and 2020 is no different. Credit unions around the country can make a difference by engaging members in our latest MAP campaign,” said CUNA Chief Political Officer Richard Gose. “In light of the coronavirus pandemic it is more important than ever to remind your members to vote and provide them with the resources so they can cast their ballots safely in the manner that works best for them this fall, whether in-person, early, absentee, or by mail.”

Credit unions can download, customize and distribute email templates, provided by CUNA in long and short versions.

Credit unions that go out to members share their results on the MAP Results page.

CUNA’s MAP Community is also open for members to share information and best practices about this and other campaigns. The community contains additional resources, including recommended tweets and campaign logos.
