Enhanced 2020-2021 credit union compensation tool released

September 10, 2020

CUNA announces the release of the 2020-2021 CUNA Staff Salary Report and CUNA Compensation Analytics with new features that offer greater control over viewing and analyzing credit union compensation data to maximize budgets.

“The suite of products that fall under CUNA Compensation Resources have been a reliable source of compiled industry data to design total compensation packages for over 20 years,” said James Carrick, vice president of learning events at CUNA. “Now, credit unions will access a more customized analysis to ensure they are maximizing budget while offering fair and competitive compensation at their credit union.”

CUNA Staff Salary Report and CUNA Compensation Analytics both offer a comprehensive look at hiring trends and the latest data compiled from 1,000 credit unions on:

  • Base pay
  • Bonuses
  • Incentives
  • Salary ranges
  • Total cash compensation

In 2020, these resources will contain a cost-of-labor multiplier that includes a state multiplier and over 400 cities to calculate adjustments for a specific geography of each credit union. Utilizing the data with this multiplier information will allow credit unions to evaluate compensation for each branch location individually.

CUNA Compensation Analytics, an interactive, cloud-based tool, will also now include the capability to download data into Excel and the option to select population size, enabling comparison of credit unions with similar sized areas. With both of these features, industry reports that are most relevant to each individual credit union can be created.
