Registration for the 2021 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is now open. Next year’s CUNA GAC will be held March 2-4 and delivered in real time using a full-feature, interactive digital platform.

The online format will integrate many of the conference’s most popular events including live speakers and breakout sessions, a virtual exhibit hall, and the opportunity to (virtually) Hill Hike.

“Attending CUNA GAC takes on new urgency in these tumultuous times,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “Credit unions have played a critical role helping Americans manage the financial impact of the pandemic and it’s imperative we share this story with lawmakers—especially new members of Congress. I strongly urge my fellow credit union advocates to join us virtually in March.”

 The annual conference brings together credit unions, state Leagues, thought leaders and policymakers from across the nation. Some of the country’s most influential business and political trailblazers will be among the presenters at CUNA GAC.

Key advocacy topics will include:

  • Preserving the tax status and fighting bank attacks;
  • Regulatory relief;
  • Bolstering main street in good times and bad; and
  • COVID-19 pandemic relief efforts and resources.

“Certainly, this conference will be different than in the past, but our purpose and mission remain intact,” said Todd Spiczenski, CUNA chief products and services officer. “This format will facilitate the advocacy, learning, and networking that CUNA GAC is known for, while allowing more emerging leaders to participate—and that will drive a range of long-term benefits for the system.”
