Real-world speaker line-up leads CUNA Security & Fraud eSchool

Former Secret Service, police officers and security professionals with decades of experience dealing with fraud and security-related issues are the lead presenters at CUNA Security & Fraud eSchool. The eSchool will be held in five sessions Nov. 6 through Dec. 11.

“Credit unions can review their current policies and procedures with information provided in these sessions to help spot any gaps or security risks,” said Jess MacLagan, instructional design manager at CUNA. “They can also train staff on current fraud risks and social engineering risks.”

Sessions include:

  • The 4 Ls of Physical Security presented by Arvin Clar C.F.E., a special agent for the Ohio Attorney’s General office, and college instructor for security, police operations and economic crime.
  • Workplace Violence Prevention: Guidelines for the Employer presented by Branch Walton to share his expertise based on more than 20 years with the U.S. Secret Service.
  • Security Regulations: What You Need to Know presented by Barry Thompson to share his expertise from more than four decades of financial services experience including security and compliance.
