CUNA Councils, the only professional organization operated by and for credit union professionals, is excited to announce the start of the 2021 membership year.
CUNA Councils is a national network of 7,300+ peers in eight discipline-specific Councils who seek to excel in their role and advance the credit union movement by sharing resources, experiences and ideas. There are times when all the research in the world on a task or problem can’t compare to firsthand information from your peers about their experiences. That’s exactly the kind of peer-to-peer networking and collaboration that a CUNA Councils membership provides.
“Council membership is important to me because I’m able to connect with peers across the country,” said Maggie Robarts, vice president of operations, Tampa Bay FCU. “I’m able to ask questions in the community to see what others are doing or how they handle certain situations.”
CUNA Councils is now accepting new memberships to all eight professional networks (CEO, finance, HR & organizational development, marketing & business development, compliance & risk, lending, operations & member experience and technology) to broaden opportunities for professional development, networking and ultimately credit union advancement.
Credit union professionals face a new slate of business challenges stemming from the many challenges the events of 2020 have created. Some of these situations are without precedent to guide leaders’ decisions. CUNA Councils help CU leaders stay connected with a collaborative network of professionals in their field through channels like online communities and virtual chats to share experiences, ideas and feedback.
Bring valuable connections and resources to your credit union. Join today for 2021 and you’ll enjoy free membership benefits for the rest of 2020—the sooner you join, the more time you get.
