Compliance: Community celebrates 5 years of cooperation

November 15, 2020
Compliance: Start from a place of ‘yes’

CUNA's Compliance Community celebrated five years this month as a go-to compliance resource for credit union compliance professionals around the country. Launched in 2015, the Compliance Community’s first year saw 318 discussion threads, while so far in 2020 community users have created more than 11,000 threads.

“Like the credit union movement, the CUNA- Compliance Community is driven by the spirit of cooperation. We could not have seen the success we’ve seen over the past five years without thousands of compliance professionals asking questions, providing expertise and bringing attention to important compliance topics as they arise,” said CUNA Chief Compliance Officer Jared Ihrig. “Thanks to all our community members for supporting your colleagues these past five years, and we look forward to continued collaboration.”

The Compliance Community currently has more than 6,000 members who have participated in more than 39,400 discussions. There are more than 1,300 files available in the shared library, and the top ten most-downloaded files in the file library have been downloaded more than 12,000 times.

Credit Union Magazine is profiling four of the Compliance Community’s most active members, with the story on Carmen Warden, vice president of enterprise risk management at Truity CU, Bartlesville, Okla. already live.
