CUNA announces IRA Fundamentals and Advanced eSchools

December 9, 2020
401(k)_Upgrade

Credit union professionals can learn the latest on Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) during two upcoming eSchools in early 2021. CUNA will host CUNA IRA Fundamentals eSchool in January and February, and CUNA IRA Advanced eSchool in February through mid-April.

“IRAs never seem to get easier,” said Jess MacLagan, CUNA instructional design manager. “Being surrounded by regulations and IRS rules, it is nice to have an eSchool to help teach you the must-knows about the subject.”

Once completed, CUNA IRA Fundamentals eSchool will provide attendees:

  • IRA knowledge regarding current issues and legislation
  • The basic understanding of how IRAs work and how they benefit their members
  • Knowledge of how to handle IRA accounts, contributions and distributions

CUNA IRA Advanced eSchool will consist of weekly one-hour sessions February 25 through April 15. It builds on the foundational knowledge attained in the IRA Fundamental eSchool, while also giving those who may be experienced IRA professionals the ability to add onto their established skill set or explore other areas of retirement accounts they may not know about.
