CUNA wins Top Workplace award for second consecutive year

March 29, 2021
TW2021

CUNA has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2021 honor by The Wisconsin State Journal for the second consecutive year.

The list is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, an employee engagement and workplace improvement research firm.

“Being named a Top Workplace by The Wisconsin State Journal is especially exciting because it reflects the voices of our employees,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “At CUNA, our goal is to be intentional about creating a culture that is reflective of our organizational values. This recognition is a reminder that we are headed in the right direction.”

Nearly 800 Madison-area companies were nominated by their employees and CUNA is listed among the top 5 percent of employers. Organizations of all sizes participated in the survey, which measured key drivers of engaged cultures such as leadership, strong values, clear direction, and motivated workers.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted workplace trends nationwide and shed light on the importance of employee well-being. This recognition is a huge win for CUNA because it shows that we have adapted well amid a changing environment to best suit the needs of our employees,” said CUNA Chief Operating Officer Jill Tomalin. “We want our people leaders to feel confident in CUNA as an employer and creating a strong company culture gives our 1CUNA team the space they need to thrive.”

Nussle spoke to the Wisconsin State Journal recently on CUNA's culture.
