Tiffany Niederwerfer Promoted to Vice President of Marketing for CUNA

April 7, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 6, 2021
Washington, DC

Credit Union National Association (CUNA) announced today that Tiffany Lamkins Niederwerfer has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing, effective immediately. In her new role, Niederwerfer will be responsible for all activities related to CUNA’s brand identity and will oversee the execution of the organization’s marketing strategy.

“Since joining the organization three years ago, Tiffany has brought a wealth of industry knowledge and credit union experience that has been an integral part of our success,” said CUNA Chief Engagement Officer Greg Michlig. “She has done a great job strengthening our marketing efforts in a way that responds to the evolving marketplace and I am excited by the leadership she will bring to our team.”

Niederwerfer most recently served as the Association Marketing and Brand Director at CUNA, where she led the development and implementation of the association’s marketing plans and strategies to support its members. Under Niederwerfer’s leadership, the marketing team refreshed the CUNA brand to effectively articulate the credit union value proposition to key stakeholders, policymakers, and government leaders.

“Our members trust CUNA to advocate on behalf of their needs and provide the best training and tools to help fulfill their mission,” said Niederwerfer.“Ensuring we are delivering on that promise is an extremely rewarding challenge. I am excited to continue to seek new ways to communicate with members in this dynamic digital space.”

Prior to joining CUNA, Niederwerfer was communications manager for Filene Research Institute, an independent, consumer finance think tank that analyzes issues affecting consumer financial wellness, the future of credit unions, and cooperative finance.

Niederwerfer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She will remain based at CUNA’s headquarters in Madison.
