Cap1

Two House Appropriations Subcommittees will conduct markups this week, and CUNA will be engaged with several other hearings on Capitol Hill.

The House Appropriations Committee will conduct its markup of Legislative Branch and Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) appropriations bills starting Tuesday at 11 a.m. (ET).

CUNA wrote in support of several funding levels in the draft legislation last week.

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs started a markup of its FY22 bill Monday.

Other hearings CUNA is engaged with this week include:

  • Tuesday, 3 p.m. (ET): House Financial Services Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion hearing, “The Legacy of George Floyd: An Examination of Financial Services Industry Commitments to Economic and Racial Justice;” and
  • Wednesday, 2 p.m. (ET): House Financial Services Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions hearing, “Addressing Climate as a Systemic Risk: The Need to Build Resilience within Our Banking and Financial System.”
