House to vote on federal government funding, NDAA this week

September 20, 2021

The House is expected to consider a continuing resolution to keep the federal government funded past Sept. 30 this week, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2022 and may also consider legislation to lift or suspend the federal debt ceiling.

CUNA will also be engaged with several hearings in both chambers.

These hearings include:

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee Task Force on Financial Technology hearing, “Preserving the Right of Consumers to Access Personal Financial Data.”
  • Thursday, 10:15 a.m. ET: The Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, “National Cybersecurity Strategy: Protection of Federal and Critical Infrastructure Systems.”
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy hearing, “Lending in a Crisis: Reviewing the Federal Reserve’s Emergency Lending Powers During the Pandemic and Examining Proposals to Address Future Economic Crises.”
