CCUA, Cabot Creamery to focus on cooperative impact

October 12, 2021
Demystifying the CUSO

The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and Cabot Creamery Cooperative (Cabot) have partnered to focus on and highlight the unique value of the cooperative business model. Credit unions will be represented by CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle, CCUA President/CEO Ron McLean, World Council of Credit Unions President/CEO Elissa McCarter LaBorde and Filene Institute President/CEO Mark Meyer.

The webinar will take place on International Credit Union Day, Thursday, Oct. 21, starting at 1 p.m. ET. Registration is currently open.

Cooperatives of all types—based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity—believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.

“In the true cooperative spirit, our friends at Cabot have joined with us to sponsor this valuable discussion of the benefits of belonging to a cooperative,” said Walter Laskos, CCUA chief communications officer. “Make this year’s observance of International Credit Union Day the start of a new tradition, rooted in a better understanding of the principles and values that make your cooperative organization unique.”
