Cyberthreat, LIBOR transition hearings scheduled this week

CUNA will be engaged with several hearings on Capitol Hill this week, including ones related to consumer data-related cyberthreats.

The House is expected to release the complete text of its reconciliation bill around mid-week, with a potential House floor vote at the end of the week.

Hearings CUNA will be engaged with this week include:

  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee hearing, “The Libor Transition: Protecting Consumers and Investors.”
  • Tuesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Committee Task Force on Financial Technology hearing, “Buy Now, Pay More Later? Investigating Risks and Benefits of BNPL and Other Emerging Fintech Cash Flow Products.”
  • Wednesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Financial Services Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions hearing, “Cyber Threats, Consumer Data, and the Financial System.”
