The CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference is the time to celebrate the power of unity and the influence of the movement, CUNA Chief Products and Services Officer Todd Spiczenski wrote in CUInsight. The 2022 CUNA GAC is Feb. 27 to March 3 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
“When we come together in the nation’s capital, the sound of our “people helping people” mission reverberates throughout the city,” Spiczenski wrote. “Not only do we get to tell lawmakers about the countless ways credit unions fulfill their mission, but we also get to hear from lawmakers about how credit unions helped their constituents.”
He also notes the “true power” of CUNA GAC is CUNA, Leagues, credit unions, and system partners all coming together.
“GAC is the most important event of the year, bringing high-profile keynoters, thought-provoking breakout sessions, a robust and energizing exhibit hall, and networking opportunities. But it’s not just about the meeting itself,” Spiczenski wrote. It’s about how we come together to build trust, forge meaningful connections, and make memories that last a lifetime.
“The return to in-person will put the value of physical presence to the test. History has shown us that when credit unions come together, we accomplish amazing things,” he adds. “While the 2022 GAC will be different, I’m confident that the spirit of this remarkable event will withstand our new normal.”
