A CUNA Councils-hosted breakfast at the 2022 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) will welcome feature presentations from five 2021 Credit Union Magazine Credit Union Rock Stars.

Sponsored by Fiserv, the Credit Union Rock Star program recognizes the movement’s unique, innovative, and creative people who excel in their areas of expertise—and by doing so make our movement a better, more interesting place.

CUNA Councils Executive Committee Chair Heather Lally-Voigt, chief operating officer at Community First Credit Union in Neenah, Wis., will emcee the event. It will include presentations from these leaders:

  • Julie Gamblin, senior vice president/chief administrative officer, True Sky Credit Union
Gamblin invests in others throughout the Oklahoma City area and within the $810 million asset credit union. She is front and center in True Sky initiatives and created the True Sky Credit Union Foundation in 2020 to fund various charitable causes.
  • Gary Hull, assistant vice president of consumer lending, Credit Union of America
Hull’s love of lending has led to record growth at the $1.3 billion asset institution in Wichita, Kan. Hull, who started the credit union’s indirect lending program in 2005, has a personal loan portfolio exceeding 6,200 loans and totaling more than $103 million.
  • Jan Page, CEO, Community South Credit Union
Page, who co-founded the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance, believes focusing on what Community South does well leads to member loyalty and service. That mindset helped the Shipley, Fla., credit union grow its asset size from $43 million to $172 million since 2007.
  • Tansley Stearns, chief people and strategy officer, Canvas Credit Union
Stearns joined the $3.5 billion asset credit union in Lone Tree, Colo., in 2018. She’s quickly become a champion of empathy and innovation, promoting a culture of listening through Canvas’ series of roundtables and the podcast, “In the Room with Todd Marksberry.” Canvas’ CEO.
  • Randy Stolp, chief information officer, My Community Credit Union
Stolp steps up wherever he’s needed, whether inside $462 million asset My Community Credit Union or in his community in Midland, Texas. So when the credit union expanded into a new market, Stolp oversaw the lease and remodel project while also managing a human resources audit, taking on marketing responsibilities, and overseeing a core and online banking conversion.
