PPP review, small business hearings in Congress this week

The House and Senate are in Washington, D.C. this week. The House will consider arbitration and civil rights legislation, while the Senate will resume consideration of Shalanda Young to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

CUNA will be engaged in several hearings in both chambers

These include:

  • Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: "Advancing Public Transportation under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law."
  • Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. ET: House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations hearing: “An Empirical Review of the Paycheck Protection Program.”
  • Wednesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth hearing: “Big Ideas for Small Businesses: Fostering American Entrepreneurship Through Starting, Sustaining and Growing Small Businesses.”
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: “Understanding the Role of Digital Assets in Illicit Finance.”
