CUNA’s latest Member Activation Program (MAP) campaign launched this week, encouraging credit unions to inform their members of the resources available at CreditUnionsVote.com. The newly redesigned site launched last week to increase member engagement in the 2022 primaries.
Credit unions that have gone out to members with the campaign report a 28.7% email open rate, well above industry averages.
“Voting is a foundational pillar of both our democracy and the cooperative principles that govern the credit union movement, and it’s important for credit unions to lead by example and promote civic engagement,” said Adam Engelman, CUNA’s director of federal grassroots and programs. “The goal of this campaign is to encourage your employees and members to participate in your state’s primary election, and we’re encouraging credit unions to go out to members as early as possible.”
Credit unions participating in the campaign can download customizable templates (both long- and short-form) that can be sent to members as part of regular outreach.
CUNA’s MAP Community also contains social media resources, best practices for MAP campaigns, and a survey where you can post your results.
Credit union members can check registration status, find their polling location, learn about early/absentee options, and see which candidates will be on their ballot at CreditUnionsVote.com.
