ILC loophole bill, FY23 NDAA scheduled for markup this week

The House is in session this week and will consider various legislation. The House Financial Services Committee will hold a markup on the CUNA-supported Close ILC Loophole Act (H.R. 5912) Wednesday.

H.R. 5912 would close the industrial loan company (ILC) loopholes in current law.

Other hearings CUNA is engaged in this week include:

  • Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: "The Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress."
  • Wednesday, 10 a.m. ET: House Committee on Armed Services will markup the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (H.R. 7900)
  • Wednesday, 5 p.m. ET: House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs will markup: “FY 2023 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee Bill.”
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee hearing: "Reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program: Administration Perspectives."
  • Thursday, 10 a.m. ET: House Committee on Financial Services hearing: "Monetary Policy and the State of the Economy."
  • On Friday, House Committee on Appropriations will hold a markup: “FY 2023 Homeland Security and Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Bills.”
