In an effort to improve branch security, 3SI Security Systems employs a “five zone” plan to keep staff, members, and facilities safe from harm, says Scott Kaplan, 3SI’s inside sales leader.

These include the back of the house, high-traffic areas such as ATMs, the entry/exit, parking lot, and the community at large, he says.

“We’re not looking only to protect assets and people, it’s really about taking criminals off the street and working hand in hand with local law enforcement to help communities thrive and put the bad guys behind bars,” Kaplan says.

In this episode of the CUNA New Podcast, sponsored by 3SI Security Systems, CUNA Digital Media Design Specialist Yeekeng Yang talks to Kaplan about the five-zone branch security plan, changes in the typical branch environment, the need to invest in security technology, and more.

3SI is a CUNA Strategic Services alliance provider.
