NCUALogo

NCUA’s third summit focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, is set for Nov. 2 to 4 and registration is open. This year’s summit theme is All-In on DEI & ACCESS. ACCESS represents NCUA’s initiative for Advancing Communities through Credit, Education, Stability, and Support.

A number of CUNA, League, and credit union leaders will participate in the event, which has an online and live component.

CUNA Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Samira Salem, CUNA Board member and GTE Financial Credit Union President/CEO Brian Best, Credit Union Association of New Mexico President/CEO Juan Fernandez, Minnesota Credit Union Network Director of Engagement Ben Hering, and Credit Union House Managing Director Sue McCue are among the CUNA and League leaders scheduled to present.

This hybrid event will bring together professionals from credit unions and other stakeholders to:

  • Promote the value proposition of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Share DEI and financial inclusion best practices.
  • Develop solutions to industry-specific challenges.

Session topics cover a wide range of DEI-related areas like how to build a successful DEI program; including programs for the LGBTQ+ and disability communities; cryptocurrency and the unbanked; digital access; and inclusive lending.
