CUNA leaders to examine election results in Nov. 10 webinar

October 28, 2022
Cap1

CUNA advocacy leaders will give a first look at what’s in store for the 118th Congress Thursday, Nov. 10 during a free webinar for CUNA members. Registration is open for the webinar, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET Nov. 10.

“This year’s mid-term elections are very consequential for credit unions, as policies to help consumers and communities recover from the pandemic are at the core of our advocacy agenda,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “I’ll be joined by members of our advocacy team who will break down our investment into the 2022-mid-terms, and what the results mean for our agenda going forward.”

Nussle will be joined by CUNA Chief Political Officer Richard Gose, Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Federal Government Affairs Jason Stverak, Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Political Action Trey Hawkins, Senior Director of Advocacy and Counsel Luke Martone, and Senior Director of Advocacy, Congressional Relations Abby Gunderson-Schwarz.

CUNA recently announced more than $2.5 million in advertisements supporting a bipartisan group of credit union champions, which is in addition to the $3.7 million directly to candidates in the primaries.
