Credit union financial staff can improve their analytical skills and knowledge of credit union operations by attending CUNA Financial Management eSchool: Essentials on Wednesdays, Jan. 4 through Feb. 22.

“This virtual school will present topical lessons on analyzing monthly balance sheets, planning for growth, forecasting and budgeting approaches, creating risk assessments and more,” said Amanda Schumacher, CCUFC, CCUIP, instructional design manager at CUNA. “Attending the eSchool can lay the foundation of one’s financial education, which could lead to playing a role in making prudent financial decisions for the credit union.”

CUNA Financial Management eSchool: Essentials provides a solid curriculum of topics to help attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of the finance and accounting environment. This introductory level eSchool covers financial ratios, asset liability management, investments and loan and deposit pricing.

Timothy Gardner – EVP/CFO of CDC Federal Credit Union in Atlanta – is the course instructor.
