CUNA IRA Fundamentals eSchool provides foundational knowledge

December 1, 2022

Introductory training for anyone who answers questions from members regarding individual retirement accounts begins January 6 with CUNA IRA Fundamentals eSchool.

“IRA accounts are not going anywhere, so it’s good to make sure your staff are adequately prepared to manage your members’ needs in accordance with the IRS and other related rules,” said Jess MacLagan, instructional design manager of compliance solutions in CUNA's Center for Professional Development. “We know teams are looking to get an early start on this training in the new year as Credit Unions recover from processing required minimum distributions for their members.”

This eSchool is high in demand annually because credit unions are in a constant state of hiring frontline staff and managers who need to know the ins and outs of IRA accounts for their members. It also provides the foundational knowledge needed for those who open, update, maintain or close IRA accounts.

The eight-session eSchool will be held virtually each Friday from Jan. 6 to Feb. 24.
