Georgia credit unions 'gather under the gold dome' at state capitol

Credit unions from across the state of Georgia gathered in Atlanta at the State Capitol for this year’s Georgia Advocacy Conference Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 to move the needle on key legislative priorities.

Issues discussed included remote online notarization, state charter enhancements, interchange, protecting credit unions from taxation, and more.

In addition to meeting with numerous local legislators, credit unions visited with Gov. Brian Kemp, Speaker Jon Burns, the office of Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, the Department of Banking and Finance, and other key leaders from the state.

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) is grateful to the credit unions who traveled from all over the state to advance credit union priorities and blocking harmful legislation.
