February 9, 2023
NCUA LOGO

NCUA is hosting a webinar titled “Closing the Wealth Gap: A Conversation on Black Wealth and Increasing Financial Equity” on Thursday, Feb. 23 in recognition of Black History Month.

Registration is now open for the hour-long webinar, which will begin at 1 p.m. ET. There is no charge to attend, and there will be a question-and-answer period afterward.

This event will bring together credit union leaders, federal government officials, and financial education stakeholders for a virtual discussion that aims to:

  • Inform credit unions about the historical and systemic challenges that impact African American financial mobility,
  • Raise awareness about the importance of advancing financial inclusion, and
  • Provide resources and share best practices to engage with African American consumers better.

Participants will be able to log into the webinar and view it on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website. The webinar will be closed captioned and archived approximately one week after the live event.
