Yellen testimony, SBA, cybersecurity hearings scheduled this week

The House and Senate are in Washington, D.C., this week and will consider various legislation. 

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is scheduled to testify before appropriations subcommittees in both chambers to review the Treasury's FY235 budget request. She will appear before a Senate subcommittee Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. ET and before a House subcommittee Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. 

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will also testify before House and Senate committees on the State Department's FY24 budget. He will testify before a House subcommittee Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET and before a Senate subcommittee Thursday at 2 p.m. ET

Other hearings CUNA is engaged with this week include:

  • Wednesday, 2:46 p.m. ET: Senate Small Business Committee hearing, "Oversight of the U.S. Small Business Administration and Review of the President’s Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Proposal."
  • Thursday, House Small Business Committee hearing, "Oversight of the Small Business Administration."
  • Thursday, 2 p.m. ET: House Oversight Subcommittee Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation hearing, "Unpacking the White House National Cybersecurity Strategy."
