The CUNA CEO Council announced three new credit union CEOs to the 2023-24 CUNA CEO Council’s Executive Committee.

Genisys Credit Union President/CEO Jackie Buchanan is the new chair of the group, replacing the retiring Maurice Smith, who retired in January. Orlando Credit Union President/CEO Suzanne Weinstein is the new vice chair.  

New to the CUNA CEO Council executive committee:

• Kent Lugrand, president/CEO, InTouch Credit Union, Plano, Texas
• David Tuyo, president/CEO, University Credit Union,Los Angeles, Calif.
• Mike Valentine, president/CEO, BCU, Vernon Hills, Ill.

Lugrand and Valentine were elected to vacancies created by the departure of Rudy Pereira, CEO of PremierAmerica Credit Union and Stephanie Sievers, CEO of AltaOne FCU, who completed their terms on the executive committee. Tuyo was appointed to fill Smith's unexpired term.
