CUNA, foundation on the Hill for JumpStart Fin. Lit. Day

WASHINGTON (4/22/15)--Representatives from CUNA and the National Credit Union Foundation will be on hand for Friday's Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill, which is convened by the Jump$tart Coalition, Junior Achievement USA and the Council for Economic Education.
As one of the event's sponsors, the foundation will be showcasing programs such as BizKid$ and its financial literacy work with credit unions. AmericasCreditUnions.org and aSmarterChoice also will be highlighting credit unions.
The event is held in conjunction with the offices of Reps. Ruben Hinojosa (D-Texas) and Steve Stivers (R-Ohio). Sens. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Jack Reed (D-R.I.) and Tim Scott (R-S.C.) are among the invited guests.
April is National Financial Literacy Month, which highlights the importance of financial literacy and provides consumers an opportunity to establish and maintain good financial habits
CUNA delegates include Amaia Stecker, senior social media manager, and Kristin Eagan, associate director of advocacy. The foundation will be represented by Gigi Hyland, executive director; Danielle Brown, director of development and donor relations; and Christopher Morris, director of communications.
