The credit union lending, automotive and strategic solutions firm unveiled its 20 for 20 campaign Tuesday, inviting credit unions and their members to visit the event's website to cast a vote for the CMN Hospital of their choice.
Within the first two days, more than 15,000 votes from credit unions and their members had been submitted. Participants can vote once per day through Dec. 22. The hospital that receives the most votes will be announced Dec. 23.
Plus, the credit union that votes the most for the winning hospital will be invited to co-present the $20,000 check to the hospital next year.
"As we reflect on 20 years in business, we want to give back to a nonprofit that's been near and dear to the CU Direct family for the past decade," said Tony Boutelle, CU Direct president/CEO.
CU Direct has actively sponsored the Credit Unions for Kids Wine Auction, an event that benefits CMN Hospitals in Nevada and California. The annual event has raised more than $2.6 million since 2006.
CU Direct boasts a lending network of 1,100 credit unions and 11,400 dealers. Since 1994, it has facilitated more than 7.4 million auto loans totaling roughly $157 billion.
