WASHINGTON (9/5/14)--The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's (CFPB) Consumer Advisory Board will host a public meeting Sept. 11 in Washington, D.C.
The group, made up of experts on consumer protection, consumer financial products and other topics, is charged with "identifying and assessing the impact of emerging products, practices, or services on consumers and other market participants" according to its charter.
Consumer Advisory Board members Jennifer Misory and Jose Quinonez will discuss trends and themes related to technology and access to financial services. Daniel Dodd-Ramirez, assistant director of financial empowerment, and Dan Munz, deputy assistant director of consumer engagement, will also hold a discussion on those themes in the afternoon.
The event will be at Gallaudet University's Elstad Auditorium from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ET) Sept. 11. The event requires an RSVP. A recording of the meeting will be available at a later date, according to the bureau.
