MADISON, Wis. (1/6/15)--The National Credit Union Foundation introduced this week a redesigned logo and new website for the organization.

The new website can be found at ncuf.coop and the new logo debuts a new shorthand by which the NCUF will be regarded: the Foundation, instead of NCUF.
"We are starting off the new year with a completely new look," said Gigi Hyland, executive director of the foundation. "As the foundation has grown, this new identity is much more reflective of our philanthropic work in the credit union community.
"Also, we know credit unions love acronyms, but we realized that 'NCUF' and 'the foundation' have the same amount of syllables and yet one was much more indicative of who we are."
The dots behind the new logo for the foundation symbolize a "murmuration," or a flock of starlings, the foundation said, and starlings fly together in synchronous, swift and graceful patterns.

"The visual of a murmuration serves as a great metaphor for what the foundation does," said Christopher Morris, director of communications for the foundation. "Through the power of collective action and our supporters' cooperative engagement, we work towards improving the financial lives of people through credit unions."
The new website was developed in collaboration with Acumium, a Madison, Wis.-based web consulting and development company. The website now boasts a much cleaner look, more intuitive navigation, a responsive design, an interactive map for credit union professionals to find their state credit union foundation contacts and easier-to-find information about the foundation's programs and grants, according to the foundation.
