MADISON, Wis. (11/7/14)--In advance of National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) is holding a Twitter chat, at 3 p.m. (CT) Nov. 13 to discuss credit unions' volunteer financial education efforts.
"Charitable giving and volunteering are central to philanthropy, and credit unions excel at both to improve their member's financial lives," said Christopher Morris, NCUF director of communications. "Financial education has long been a part of the foundation's mission and is central to the credit union philosophy."
The Twitter chat is a live streaming conversation, free and open to anyone with a Twitter account. For this Twitter chat, the hashtag will be #NCUFchat. Twitter users can either type #NCUFchat into the Twitter search box or use other tools such as Tweet Chat or Twubs to follow the conversation.
NCUF will offer news and updates through its Twitter handle @NCUFoundation, which will also lead the chat discussion. Questions will be tweeted using a Q1, Q2, etc. format, which can be replied to in the corresponding A1, A2 format. All questions and answers should contain the #NCUFchat hashtag.
