WASHINGTON (1/15/15, UPDATE 5:04 p.m. ET)--A Credit Union National Association video of today's National Credit Union Administration open board meeting discussion of a new risk-based capital plan for credit unions is now available below and also on the CUNA website.
In the days leading up to the much-anticipated unveiling of the NCUA's revised plan, CUNA requested that the NCUA accommodate the trade group's efforts to make the discussion more widely available to credit unions and other interested parties. The NCUA agreed that CUNA and a limited number of others could set up video cameras to record the agency's proceedings this morning.
The video cameras are a significant change from the agency's standard operating procedures for board meeting. CUNA originally requested that the meeting be streamed live over the Internet. The agency was not able to accommodate live-streaming for the January meeting, but said it would plan to do that for future meetings.
