HARRISBURG, Pa. (2/6/15)--This year's iBelong marketing campaign from the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA) has added a new layer: High-profile TV ads.
PCUA has traditionally run 15- and 30-second ads as part of its wide-reaching marketing campaign, but this year the trade association will up the ante by sponsoring network television shows and placing ads during popular national television programs.
This is a "new, high-impact spot schedule in each of the media markets," said Michael Wishnow, PCUA senior vice president of communications/public relations, who added that the league hopes iBelong's increased digital media presence will attract even more younger members.
In Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Central Pennsylvania--in addition to the Johnstown, Altoona and State College markets--credit unions will sponsor NBC's "The Voice," a singing competition show featuring the likes of Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera.
The Erie market, meanwhile, will see iBelong TV spots during primetime television shows on ABC. In the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton markets, spots will air during "The Today Show," "Modern Family," "Big Bang Theory," "NCIS" and "60 Minutes."
In Lehigh Valley, iBelong will sponsor news and weather reports, in addition to ads during "Jeopardy," "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Voice."
The Central Pennsylvania media buy also includes on-air appearances by sponsoring credit unions on two local news stations.
