MADISON, Wis. (9/17/14)--An initiative designed to keep credit unions on the cutting edge of economic activity and trends--and consequently, help keep them competitive in today's crowded financial services industry--makes its debut this week as the Credit Union National Association's Economics and Statistics Department launches its new blog, "The Research Roundup: Economic Perspectives."
This new interactive resource for credit unions provides analysis and commentary on important trends and issues such as economic forecasts, updates on current economic happenings and resulting consumer behavior.
"The objective of the project is to not only monitor and report on the current economic environment," said Lora Bray, CUNA information research analyst, "but to facilitate discussion of and access to timely, reliable research findings revealing valuable insight vital to decision-making for credit unions."
Blog posts will be written by the team of industry experts in CUNA's Economic and Statistics Department, who will report findings from CUNA's exclusive data, research and articles from other agencies, companies, government sources, consultants and academics.
In conjunction with the blog launch, the economics department is rolling out a new web landing page to help readers navigate the data it offers.
